All in all a very impressive tool that I have used myself for many jobs both kind and severe. I think you will be amazed as I was as to its capabilities and ease of use. I will detail the operation of the Easy Cut Ratchet secateur below.

Slide the branch to be pruned firmly under the blade and close handle together without forcing them. Please note it is normal for the secateurs not to completely cut the branch in one closing of the handles.
Allow the secateurs to return to the open handle position, so as to allow the pawl to engage with the next notch on the ratchet mechanism.You will hear a small click.
Repeat untill the branch is cut off. Dont rush the job take a few cuts rather one or two strained cuts and the secateur will do the job.

Instructions:
1. Fully open the handles to reset the ratchet system to the first notch.
2. Close the handles until the ratchet mechanism's screw touches the handle.
3. Open the handles slightly and the ratchet mechanism will click to the second notch.
4. Close the handles again until the ratchet mechanism's screw touches the handle. Repeat this operation till the last notch is reached.
5. To get the best leverage open the length as long as you can by pressing the chromed release catches there are slots on the handle and you can choose what length suits the job best with no risk of the old twist and lock mechanism which quite often came undone ! This slot and click mechanism is quite superb.and a pleasure to use.
6. On finishing please wipe the debris from the cutting blade and lightly oil the ratchet and cutting blades.

Instructons for use: To open the saw first locate the locking button on the back of the saw. Press and hold the button completely in. While holding the button in pull out the blade.Release the button and the blade will be locked in the open position. To close the blade repeat the above instructions in the reverse order.

Instructions for use:
1 Check that there are no overhead power lines in the area you intend to work. Extend the pole to the correct length to reach the branch you intend to cut. Place the branch to be cut in the jaws of the pole pruner and pull the cord.
2.When you feel increased resistance of the cutting action on the branch release the cord slightly and you will hear the ratchet mechanism click to the next notch.
3. Repeat step 2 again when the resistance has increased. If you cannot cut the branch, using the jaws use the saw attachment instead. Do not attempt to cut branches which will not fit completely into the jaws, always use the saw on larger branches.
